The breathey and acousticy rainy days are here again. Mike Kinsella (of Cap'n Jazz & American Football fame) offers this solo effort that is splendid for summer days when contemplating needs to be done. There are no pop riffs or melodic vocals, just honesty which showcases Kinsella's wonderful song-writing abilities.
Mike is indeed the brother of Tim (his esteemed bandmate and singer for Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc, and the Owls). So, keep that relationship in mind when listening to this soggy, spaced-out effort.
Not all songs have vocals, the ones that do are the best, i always enjoy a good story behind good music. "Declaration of Incompetence" and "You Should Do It Now While It's On Your Mind," are the gems, so enjoy them.
